Guidelines for Prerecorded Broadcast
- Connect the microphone to the computer.
- Switch on the computer and test the microphone connection:
- For windows XP click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainment ->
Sound Record.
- For windows Vista click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories
->
Sound Recorder.
- Connect to internet.
- The radio team will email to you the Windows Media Encoder file
entitled as TLIG Radio
(prerecord), which is shown below

- Copy and paste it on your desktop. Then double click on the icon to
launch Windows Media Encoder.
- Click "Properties" and then choose the "Output" tab.
- Check only the box "Encode to file". Click Browse to select the
folder and type the desired name of the .wma file (for example test.wma).

- Click "Start Encoding".

- Open the Recording Control by clicking the "Mixer..." button in
the Audio panel to adjust the microphone level
IMPORTANT: Broadcasting at too high level (mostly in the red) or too low
level (mostly in the green) will give you unsatisfactory
results.
- To stop recording click Stop, close any window with Encoding results,
and then close the Windows Media Encoder by clicking File and then
Exit
In conclusion, every time you want to record
you must
- switch on your pc,
- open the Windows Media Encoder by double clicking the
icon "TLIG radio
(prerecord)" on your
desktop,
- select the folder and type the desired name of the .wma file
- click "Start Encoding"

close any window with Encoding results

final, close the
Windows Media Encoder by clicking File and then Exit.
